Anne Shimada
Spark Path Consultant
Anne Shimada joins Skill Path as a Spark Path Consultant, focusing on exploring trade pathways for refugees, particularly in areas of critical national need such as the shortage of electricians and tradespeople across Australia.
Anne brings extensive experience in corporate partnerships, management consulting, and business transformation. Most recently at CareerSeekers, she partnered with organisations across construction and engineering, financial services, law, government, and the not-for-profit sector to open professional pathways for people from refugee backgrounds. This work is deeply personal to Anne. Her parents arrived as Vietnamese boat refugees and she is grateful for the safety, freedom, and opportunities her family found.
Outside of work, Anne volunteers in digital communications with Letefoho East Timor Support, enjoys spotting wildlife in its natural habitat, and dabbles in creative photo editing competitions.
